About the Book

My name is Khawar Yaqub (Jacob) . I was born in Pakistan and came to America at the age of 24 and now I am 47 years old. Between 7th and 10th grade, every day before going to school, I used to go with my younger sister to read the Holy Quran in Arabic. In three years, I learned to read the Holy Quran in Arabic, while my mother tongue is Punjabi and national language is Urdu . In my school life, I used to cut out quotes from newspapers, put them together on a piece of paper, make copies and give them to my friends. In my college life, I joined a professional soccer team and used to buy beautiful Quality Quran with soccer earrings and gift them to my friends. After winning a bronze medal in national games of Pakistan , I came to America and started working six to six twelve hours a day, seven days a week at a gas station. One day a thought came in my mind that after 3 years of reading the Holy Quran in Arabic, I didn’t know a single sentence of what was written in the Holy Quran because I didn’t understand the Arabic language. In year 2000 , I started reading the Holy Quran in Urdu to understand it . One day when I was at work, I found a book in the trash and when I took it out, was written on the Holy Bible. I gifted that book to a Christian because I didn’t know English. After a month, a person gave me the Holy Bible in Urdu , so in the last 20 years I have studied only the Holy Quran and the Holy Bible . I never thought this childhood journey of my would lead to choosing the 100 best verses of the Holy Quran. I want to some good deeds before going to Lord. Therefore by the grace of the Lord, I have complied this book so that it becomes easy for people to know the Holy Quran. If even a single person in the whole world reads my book or even a single verse enters the heart of single person, will be enough for me , whether someone reads it or not, I myself will read this book until I die and try to act on it .
