The hunters were at the lake now, coming toward the dining hall from the northwest. Bob Hawkins already had one of them in his sights, waiting for them to get close enough for Mandy and Mark to each pick one out to fire upon. When they affirmed to Bob they were ready, they would all shoot simultaneously, seriously hampering the hunter’s chances for any kind of success, but it would all depend on the marksmanship of Mark and Mandy. Andy had stopped barking because one of the men down below grabbed him and brought him back to the bunkhouse. The hunters were now roughly a hundred yards away from the dining hall, and it was becoming now or never time. Mandy and Mark both signaled to Bob that they had their sights on someone, so Bob counted to three, then they would all fire. When his count reached three, they all fired at once, dropping two of them in their tracks. As luck would have it, both Mark and Mandy had their sights on the same guy. One of them missed, but the other hit the man dead on in his chest. Bob had taken the last man bringing up the rear, hitting him in the forehead. That’s when the real shooting started. The remaining hunters hit the ground immediately upon hearing the gunfire, but before they all hit the ground, Bob hit another guy in the throat, dropping him as well. That left three hunters down below, with Lucas Frerotte being one of them. Bill was hiding behind a tree, waiting for one of them laying in the tall grass a few feet away from him to stick his head up, and when he did, Bill blasted him right in the face, killing him instantly. Now there were two.

About the Book
In Living for the Lamb of God, the sequel to Hunting for the Lamb of God, the residents of New Hope are discovered by the Hunters. They realize how vulnerable they are in their present location and search for a place where they can start over again and live in peace. Their settlement grows exponentially after finding that place and settling into Peaceful Valley, an old scout ranch outside of Colorado Springs. Once again, they find themselves having to deal with not only the Hunters but also must contend with a foreign army that is now in country---looking to exploit America’s natural resources. Their love for each other and America gives them the strength to meet these challenges and forge ahead.
About the Author
Jamey O'Donnell's world view comes from a lifetime involved in politics based on his work involving two presidential campaigns, being a recovered homeless methamphetamine addict that used from the time he was 13 to the age of 45, and being a single father that raised his son alone from the time his son was one years old. As a father, Jamey's main objectives were to teach his son the value of hard work by instilling in him a work ethic, enlisting him in scouting and helping him achieve the rank of Double Silver Palm Eagle Scout, and the importance of giving his life to Christ. His son was awarded both athletic and academic scholarships to Benedictine College. He is now beginning his senior year for his degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. To date, Jamey has written five books and is one of America's most prolific writers of our time.
