About the Book

This book was written to bring awareness to molestation and sexual abuse to children. It is to remind children that they are not alone if they experience this. It is happening more often than we think. The purpose of this book is to start and continue conversations on this topic. This should never be an unspoken secret. I know it is difficult to discuss; however, it is important to discuss as well. I recommend that every child reads this book with an adult that they can trust. Also, read it with other children. There will be questions. I don’t want children to be afraid of everyone; however, they should be aware that everyone does not have good intentions. Some people we know do not have good intentions. Children are our future. Let’s keep them strong, informed and unharmed.

About the Author

I was born in Queens, NY and raised in Long Island City, NY. My biological father passed away before my second birthday. My sibling and I was raised by our single mother. My mother loved and cared for us. She was also hard working. Growing up I was touched inappropriately and molested. As I became older and a mother, I started to look for love in all the wrong places. This was due to lack of self-love and self-worth. I began to understand that no one would love me if I couldn’t love myself first. I needed to set goals and boundaries. I needed to say no, let go and move on. Today, I love myself more than ever. This is due to my prayers and faith. It is important to find our individual strength, purpose and journey. The destination and path to get there may be different for each of us and that is okay. Just strive to get there!
