Death moved people beyond our reach forever and we are left to figure things out as best we can and hang on to whatever loving memories we have collected over the years because there would be no new ones from the people we lose.

This book does a deep dive into the struggle of a middle-age man who lost the love of his life and now has to find the courage to attend her funeral by taking a twelve-hour road trip with his ex-wife, who is very successful and very judgmental and blames him for the failure of their marriage.
