Allison and Madison made their way through the crowds of people. Near the back of the crowd, they saw a scalper trying to sell tickets. They watched as a young woman with her son approached the scalpers to see how much they wanted for the tickets. The woman shook her head, and the boy started to cry again. Allison and Madison knew they had found their winners; they were almost in tears themselves as they walked up to the woman. It was obvious the woman couldn't afford concert tickets, but was trying her luck, in hopes of catching a break for her son. Allison whispered in the young woman's ear, as Madison bent down to make friends with the boy. "Hi. My name is Allison Drexler. We're here representing the boys, because they couldn't come out into the crowd. They sent us out here to give away two really good seats to the concert tonight. You don't have tickets already, do you?" The woman's face lit up. "No. Is this for real… because it's not a very funny joke?" Allison smiled. "This is very real. And Madison and I told them we would only do this for them if they would let us take you backstage right now to meet them and let you sit in on the sound check." "And you picked us?" The young woman started crying, hugging her son. "Yes. Are you ready to meet the band?" The woman didn't tell her son where they were going, so he was completely surprised when Madison flipped the curtain back and they were standing in the middle of the stage. The bigger his eyes got, the higher he jumped, the louder he squealed. His mother just cried. She thanked the band many times, for giving her son something she would never have been able to. And she hugged Allison and Madison telling them she would never forget them, or what they had done for her and her son. Dillon let the boy hold his guitar and showed him how to strum the strings. Dominic lured him away with the drumsticks, until Derek gave him a microphone and asked him if he knew any of the words. They let him sing along, while they did the sound check. From the way the young boy acted, it was by far the best thing that had ever happened to him. As for the boys, truth be known, they decided they needed to do things like that more often.

Allison loved her job, but she loved traipsing around after her favorite band with her best friend even more. Allison and Madison caught the attention of Donovan and Derek from their favorite band Dillonsledge by holding up their heart light keyrings at all of their concerts. It wasn’t long before they were invited backstage and started spending time with the boys from the band. Things like… a. going backstage before and after the concerts, b. going to the after parties, c. sharing private parties after the after parties, d. and even sitting with the wives and girlfriends during the concerts …became common place. Donovan even asked Allison to go away with him after the tour was over. Allison was convinced life couldn’t get any better. Until - Detective Drake Larson made her rethink her ‘close to perfect’ life, letting her know she was the lead suspect in the beatings, and even murder, of some of her closest male friends. Feelings develop between Allison and the detective while trying to discover the true killer, leaving Allison to reconsider her relationship with Donovan.

Bad luck with love and all, I am a sucker for true love and faithfully remain a hopeless romantic. Hi, my name is Jennifer Lee Burns. I was blessed to be given writing as an outlet at a very young age in my life. I remember sitting at the piano writing my little songs and poems, so many poems. Much later, I started my first children's book one night – after getting off work at midnight, driving home, I got the idea; so I pulled off onto the side of the road, and began writing (the only thing I had to write on was napkins.) When it comes to matters of the heart, I have it covered… literally. I’ve worked in the Cardiac ICU and the Open Heart ICU, and worked in Florida as a Cardiac Monitor Tech where I watched heart rhythms all night. However, I am back in Indiana now with my mom and our dog Dolly, and I am able to concentrate on writing full time for the first time. I am glad to say I am happier now than I have ever been, and excited to finally be sharing my books with you. I’ve laughed and cried creating the characters in my books. I hope you get invested enough in their stories, so you also feel the emotions they go through living on each page.
