About the Book

In 1965 strange things happened on the largest of three small islands that were adjacent to Vinton-le-dale which is a small fishing village on the west coast, it's nestled into the hillside and surrounded by craggy rocks with sheer drops of several hundred feet. Loud banging sounds and extremely bright flashing lights were seen and heard by the village’s oldest inhabitant Albert Trench, later after four men took a boat ride to the islands to investigate they are astounded with their findings. A silver alien ship takes off and then it circles all three islands twice then with a whooshing sound it lifted another few feet and with tremendous acceleration it shot across the sky diagonally, and in a split second disappeared into the low cloud formation and vanished from their sight as quick as you could click your fingers. Bloody hell that’s fast isn’t it? Jim stood up his eyes were fixed on the place where the ship had been, I’ve never seen anything like it in my life before, neither have we the three other men said one after the other. My Mum Mabel Reeson nee Harmson was born May 24th 1913 & sadly passed away September 11th 1983, my Dad John Wilfred Reeson born April 17th 1917 passed away March 22nd 1992 my brother David born February 18th 1943 passed away April 29th 1992 my half brother Donald Harmson born May 20th 1936 passed away December 3rd 1999, my sister Janice Pauline born November 30th 1947 she is 75 now & finally me John Edwin Reeson I was born July 16th 1952 & I am 70 years old now. I have 4 children, 2 son’s & 2 daughters also 13 grandchildren & 5 great grandchildren I have had 2 wives & 1 common law wife all 3 relationships ended in breakupsdue to my partners having numerous affairs,I have live alone since November 15th 2009 as a resultnot wishing to put myself through the trauma of that anymore. I have written 3 other books all of which are published It’s A Hard Life & Life’s Harder Than Ever all of which are published under my own name & a fiction novel entitled At Death’s Door under my pen name of Randy Field. I went to a Secondary Modern School & passed no exams but I’ve have always worked & had 42 job’s in total with 24 different professions ranging from such as Market Gardener, Nurseryman, Pig Farmer, Wholesale Chemist, Butcher’s Cutter, Warehouseman, Assistant Greenkeeper, Security Guard, Labourer, Taxi Driver, also driving a 7.5 Ton Road Sweeper Truck plus other job’s too. Writing has become a bit of a hobby for me I have several more book’s which I have started but I haven’t written anything for quite a while due to the pain in my hand’s caused by arthritis hopefully I will write some more only time will tell.
