About the Author

Siri completed her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Special Education at the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College at Arizona State University. As a former special education teacher, youth leader in church, mother of three, older sister to four, oldest cousin to thirty-four, and auntie to two, she loves finding memorable ways to communicate important lessons of self love to the children in her life. Siri relates to being different, like the character in her book, having grown up in Arizona in a Swedish-speaking home and now speaking only Swedish with her own children. She was encouraged by her parents to use her many diverse interests and skills to show others that being different is good!
