About the Book
When three special yorkies—Jingle, Jaywok, and Joi Daisy—visit Aunt K’s farm and watch the alpacas race each other, it marks the start of an exciting series of trips for the whole family. Joi Daisy decides that the Yorkies’ mom and dad need an adventure. What’s more, the dogs really want to experience more races. The whole family sets out together to see other types of animal races across the country. They watch horses race at the Kentucky Derby, dogs doing agility racing at Westminster, piglets racing at the fair, pigeon races, and even ostrich, camel, and zebra races. They become friends with all of the animals—including ones different from them—cheer them on, and find that it doesn’t matter whether you win or lose as long as you do your best. In this children’s story, three Yorkies and their human parents take a series of trips to watch and learn about various types of animal racing.
About the Author
Jack Rotifer is the combined pen name of Dr. Karen Rodeffer-Evans, an OB-GYN physician, and Dr. Judy A. C. King, a pathologist. Evans has a large farm with alpacas and other animals, and King is mom to three yorkies. The children's book series focuses on fun adventures of their animals, including alpacas, yorkies, and the animals they meet. Each book has educational information and a fun adventure!
