About the Book

Unconditional Black Love is a culmination of six years of short love poems written to my wife. Each of the poems serves as an expression of my love for my best friend, lover and wife, Toni Mooney Smith. (AKA Sweet T, Sunshine, and Baby Girl) Unconditional Black love celebrates the key millstones in our relationship through poetry. Many of the poems reflect actual events that have occurred during our relationship. This book of shorts poems is truly a celebration of love.

About the Author

Morris Smith is from the westside of Chicago. Morris received is undergraduate degree from Valparaiso University where he was the captain of the Mens Basketball team. Morris has a Master’s from Keller Graduate School of Management. Smith has worked in Corporate American for 37 years and currently serves as a Vice President of Public Affairs and Communications in the Soft Drink Beverage Industry. Morris currently resides in Houston Texas with his Wife Toni Mooney Smith.
