About the Author
Paulette Davis-Horton is a native Mobilian, the daughter of Nathaniel E. Davis, Jr. and Mamie Washington-Davis. She is a 1972 graduate of Ben C. Rain High School and a 1986 graduate of the University of South Alabama, where she majored in Nursing. Paulette Horton is married to Leonard Bernard Horton, Jr. They have two children, Leonard, III and Kenya Kylene. Leonard Bernard Horton, Jr. is a native Mobilian, the son of Leonard Bernard Horton, Sr. and Hazel Horton. He is a 1969 graduate of Central High School, a 1986 graduate of the University of South Alabama, where he was an Arts major, and a veteran of the United States Air Force.
