About the Author

Lacole Robinson grew up in the gang-infested neighborhoods of southeast San Diego. In a community of adults lost to either drug abuse or prison, Robinson was forced to grow up too fast — until she ended up in prison herself. Yet Robinson emerged from the depths of poverty, loss, and dysfunction to show us a better way. Her life and story teach us that with faith, everything is possible.
