About the Author

Debra Anne Stenstrom was born in Alexandria VA at Fort Belvoir army hospital. She moved back to Kansas where they lived in the Kansas City area for 36 years. She graduated high school in Spring Hill Kansas in 1975. She attended Johnson County Community College in 1990 for 2 years where she studied hospitality management. She had a 10 year old son and a job at that time. Her dream job was always to work with animals. In the Fall of 1992, she went to work for an animal clinic in Lenexa Kansas where she met her now husband. She began learning every aspect of the veterinary field. She became a professional groomer and proceeded with this trade for about 27 years. She and her husband own and operate a small animal hospital in Kansas. She has 2 grown children and 3 grandson’s that reside in Kansas as well. Her inspiration for her stories has come from her experiences from their business, family, and friends. She is truly an animal lover and a lover of nature. She loves being outdoors, water sports, hiking, working in the yard and on their farm. She loves the mountains, but the ocean she says, sooths her soul.
