About the Author

About the Author Charlemagne Jackson is thrilled to write and share her first children’s book with you. She attended Wilberforce University in Ohio where she received her bachelor’s degree in education. She also attended Lincoln University in Pennsylvania where she received two Master’s degrees, one in elementary education and the other in reading. She is a retired elementary school educator. She taught for thirty-five glorious years. Teaching young children and loving her family has always been her driving force. She was born in Orlando, Florida and now resides in New Castle, Delaware. She has two supportive adult sons Calvin Jr. and Aaron. She also has a mother who is ninety-three years old. Her mother has always been an inspiration to her. Even though she is retired, she furthers her education through reading, traveling and listening to the stories told to her by her elder family members. About the Illustrator Geraldine M. Settles is a self-taught, multi-media artist, author, illustrator, vocal musician and seamstress. She has written and illustrated her first book, A Prayer for Wings–A Journey of Niparella the Caterpillar. She was born in Hartford, Connecticut and now resides in Ashville, North Carolina. She has tutored students in art as well as teaching an art therapy class. Her artistic talent is featured in two art galleries in Ashville, North Carolina.
