Shout at the Day 2

Several minutes later Coach Barnett walks out of the office and motions to Coach Wheaton. He walks into the office and looks at Coach B. “Is it what I think it is?” Coach B says, “It is. I would appreciate it if you would send Josh in to see me! Don’t mention this to anyone. We’ll act like it happens after the scrimmage.” Coach Wheaton says, “You got it coach.” A little later Josh Mara walks into the office thinking he’s in trouble for something he has done. Coach B is looking over a few memos and tells him to sit without looking at the young player. Josh jumps at the first seat he is close to and sits. Coach B says, “No! Here in front of my desk!” “Yes…, yes sir! If it’s any consolation I didn’t mean to take that street sign. My girlfriend wanted me to do it!” Coach B starts to laugh and thinks better of it. He becomes more curious than serious and asks, “What type of street sign was it, son?” “It…, it was a stop sign! Honest coach I won’t do it again. If you want me to put it back, I will!” Coach B chuckles and says, “Son, I don’t give a hoot in hell what kinda’ sign it was. But if she’s good looking it might be worth it.” Josh is very confused now! “Then what am I here for Coach?” Coach B is amused and looks at him and grins. “Here’s a little piece of advice I’m going to give you for free. The next time you get questioned don’t ever give up any information that isn’t asked for. Ok? Find out what it is they want before you say much at all.” “Yes sir.” Coach B says, “We’re bringing you up to the varsity. You’ll play second fiddle to Royo! But we’ll need you as a punter also. For now, keep this on the qt! Does that sound good to you?” Josh is astounded but grunts out an answer. “Yes sir, Coach!” “Alright. Get the hell outta’ my office!” Josh jumps up and runs out of the office letting out a “Yahoo!”
