About the Book
Sarah’s Story is a part of a children’s book series titled “Believe In Yourself.” Sarah is a middle school student who loves singing, but not in front of a crowd of people due to stage fright. Sarah wanted to overcome her fear of stage fright, so she decided to participate in the school’s talent show. Sarah’s story is about believing in yourself and knowing that you can do anything you set your mind to, no matter the obstacles you may face. Her story also shows that school-age students must have a support system to help them to succeed. Lastly, her story shows the courage to sing and use her talent to build confidence.
About the Author
Stephanie Swanson is a native of East St. Louis, IL. She obtained her Bachelors in Community Health Education in 2013 and her Masters in Public Administration in 2015 from Southern Illinois University- Edwardsville. She is currently working on her Doctorate in Public Health at Walden University. Stephanie is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and has assisted her Sorority in many ways to give back to her community as well as other communities. While working in her current profession in a school district since 2017 and her love for writing, Stephanie developed a niche for writing a children’s series. She wanted to give back to her community in some way, shape, or form and this series is only the beginning. In addition to her love for children and writing, she loves to read, travel, and discuss health related topics as well as gather research.
