Sporadic Thoughts

-Dear Young Lady- You are too young to deal with some of the trauma that you have allowed yourself to experience. Who said at the tender age of 25 that you had to accept Mediocrity? Who said that you had to struggle in order to build character? Who said that you had to experience pain in order to grow? Who said that you had to love yourself any less because he did not know how to love and to cherish you? Who said that you had to dim your light in order for the others to shine? Just imagine if the Sun decided that the world was too big, and it would only shine on one area at a time? Who said just because you had a nightmare, you had to stop dreaming? Who decided that it was ok to even let your dreams die? -Twenty Nine Nights and Thirty Days- If I could go back to the good old days of not having responsibilities just for a short period of time, that would be life. Twenty nine nights and thirty days would be just enough time for me to re-live some old habits. It would also be enough time to remember why I don’t live like that anymore as well. To be young, carefree, reckless and selfish was the best lifestyle to be lived. Now that I’m a father and a husband I have people depending on me. The careless thought of spending my phone bill money on a pair of shoes or a hell of a night in the bar was priceless. Now days I try to go shopping for me but end up getting things for the family. I guess certain situations will make you grow as a person. I could remember traveling three hours to go to a certain club or bar with the fellas and spending four hundred dollars for the night. I wouldn’t dare think about that these days. Do you know how many diapers, groceries or gas tanks I could fill up with that kind of money? -Shout Out…The Series- Shout out to the Lost Souls who struggle and the world doesn’t know it. You grin and bear it so your face doesn’t show it. Shout out to the Lost Souls who went to church to surrender and confess, but was turned away at the door because of the way you dressed. Shout out to the Lost Souls who seek refuge in the church. Instead of being comforted your soul feels so much hurt. Shout out to the Lost Souls who couldn’t afford to pay tithes. This is not forever damnation or the beginning of your despise. Shout out to the Lost Soul whose skirt was a tad bit above the knee. Pull her to the side and not make a scene for the congregation to see. Shout out to the Lost Soul who pants sat a tad bit too low. Pull him to the side like a man and let him know. Shout out to the Lost Soul who sat in someone’s seat. They looked at you crazy because at the reading of the scripture you didn’t stand to your feet. Shout out to the Lost Soul who simply does not know. Be mindful of how you treat people, you reap what you sow!!! -Root of All Evil- Money is definitely the root of all evil. Think about all the things people do to have it. People steal from their own loved ones. People kill their own loved ones, hell people sell their own children for it. To really sit and think about it, it’s all for a piece of paper. Literally a piece of paper that can be burned, balled up, or ripped. We do so much for it and don’t even realize it. We’re willing to work sixteen hours out the day to earn a green piece of paper. That’s crazy if you really think about it, because there’s only twenty four hours in one day. Some people work twelve hour shifts five days a week. That’s sixty hours out of one hundred sixty eight hours in seven days. A little more than one third of your time is being used to accumulate a piece of paper. -Love Lust or Settle- Love is unpredictable, Love is scary, Love is in the moment and nothing more than just that. Love for one or lack of love can be damaging. But for that moment love is everything you never had. Something you can never understand until you feel it, or should I say know it. Thoughtless emotions or actions are some of the symptoms. This is why they say jump in head first because you might as well if you’re not going to use it. Love is needed, even though we had to admit it or just simply acknowledge it. Love is what motivates and inspires us to want more or be better. Love is a curse that is placed on all of us at some point in time. Love is what I believe I have, it’s what I believe I want. Then again I could be confusing it with lust.
