For a long time there were just the five of them at home -- the dad, the mom, the brother, the sister and Rollo. Everything was just as it should be. Life was good. Then one cold winter day, the dad brought home a cardboard box with a red bow tied around it. Rollo sniffed the air and smelled something familiar. He was not sure he was going to like this. The dad lifted a small puppy out of the box. The brother and sister oohed and aahed over the puppy. "He's so cute!" they cried. "Look at his adorable little face," they said. All day long they played with that puppy. Rollo clearly did not see what all the fuss was about. "We don't need a dog," thought Rollo. "We already HAVE a dog!" Rollo turned away and went to his bed.

About the Book
Rollo is a much-loved dog who enjoys having his own space and all his family’s attention. But when the dad brings home a new puppy, life gets complicated. Rollo experiences the same emotions that children often feel when they must share their space and the affection of loved ones. About the Author
Sherry Skelton is a retired school teacher whose professional experience includes public elementary, middle and high schools as well as a faith-based preschool. Sharing her love of good literature with students of all ages is one of her greatest joys. She and her husband live in Terrell, Texas.
