About the Book

The Tiny Gift Shop is a non-fiction novel drawn from its author’s childhood memories. All names have been changed. It is the story of how one family survived domestic violence and the challenges they had in coping with its aftermath. It is a story of healing and hope that shows how these situations impacted a family and a church in a small town in the 1980s and 1990s.

About the Author

Victoria Bakersfield is a pen name for an author living in southwestern Ontario. This is the first attempt by a new novelist. The author studied English literature toward a combined honors degree and graduated in 1997.
