Love in the Time of Madness

The remainder of the night brought out visions of death so savage at first I couldn't handle it I ran off the porch and ran around like a chicken with its head cut off. At one point out in the rocky yard I stopped and looked back at my friends. The looks on their faces regarding how I was acting made me laugh so hard I had to kneel down. I realized what I just saw could never happen there is no way I would ever let that happen. So I walked back to the porch and from the silent stares of the others I could tell they wanted an explanation. I knew I could never tell them the truth and my mind was to paralyzed from drugs, alcohol and fear to be able to come up with a legitimate lie. I was purposely looking away out at the moon but I could feel that there eyes were still focused on my face. I knew they were unsatisfied with my response but I didn't care I could never let them know the truth. I consider myself a strong man and the vision I had almost drove me mad so there was no way they could have handled it. Eventually there eyes drifted back into their own worlds as this was happening I wondered why they had not started their own trips yet.
