“Well, I guess now I can have some time to get to know you,” Triston said, as she gestured for me to walk towards a small table on the opposite side of the room from where we were originally sitting. There were live musicians on the stage and the music was giving off just the right vibe to make me feel flirty. As we walked away from the others, I knew that she was looking, so again, I made sure my walk was unforgettable. I could feel her eyes on me, so I slowly smiled, as we approached the table. She rushed over to the table to pull my chair out, before I sat down. “Thank you.” “You’re welcome. I’ll be right back,” she said, as she walked away towards the bar. As I got settled in my seat, I was secretly hoping that she would bring me something to calm my nerves because this one on one conversation was about to go there and I was nervous as hell. I started scrolling through my phone to check my social media updates, when I noticed Triston was walking back over with two shots and that damn smile, again. I watched her every move as she sat down next to me. “So, Miss Jazara,” she started, before she paused to look at me, “how did I get so lucky to meet you tonight?” “So, you think it was luck,” I responded, in a flirty tone. “I don’t know, either that or destiny. How about we take this shot and talk about it,” she said, as she lifted her shot glass. “How about a toast to,” she paused again, “a toast to new friendships."
