About the Book

Kenji Jackson is a carefree kid who was living the American lifestyle on a military base in Okinawa, Japan. His father, Major Conway Jackson, was an expert pilot for the United States Air Force who has a mysterious past and no family history. Life changes for Kenji one afternoon when Major Conway Jackson abruptly died with no explanation which leaves Kenji Jackson and his native Japanese mother homeless. With no other options, Kenji was forced to live in rural area of Japan with his grumpy Grandfather. As time changes, Kenji is now a senior at a prestigious and elite Jen High School. The school saturated with wealthy, pretentious, and privileged students while Kenji is the only half Japanese and poor student. Kenji becomes a pariah in Jen High where he is prone to be an easy target for perpetual scrutiny and bullying. During a class field trip, Kenji’s life takes another turn when discovers an ancient space age statue which resembles his late father! It is the link to Conway’s past and Kenji’s galactic and adventurous future.

About the Author

David Isaiah Brown was born at Mount Holly, New Jersey but grew up in majority of his adolescents in at Pennsauken, New Jersey. He is a military brat with a Puerto Rican mother, and African-American father who is a retired Chief Master Sergeant in the Air Force. During high school, David Isaiah Brown participated in the school newspaper as a sports writer and football team where he played linebacker. His teachers told him that he was not college material and should take up a trade. Instead of being discouraged, David I. Brown joined the Air Force where he served under three presidents and overseas such as Germany, Qatar, Belgium, England, Netherlands, and Luxembourg. He also participated in the natural disaster for during Hurricane Sandy helping New Jersey civilians to safety. During his military career, David I. Brown went to enhance his education at Burlington County College and earned his Associate’s Degree. He also earned an additional Associate’s Degree from Community College of the Air Force. After finishing community college, David I. Brown was accepted to Rutgers University and earned his Bachelor’s Degree. David I. Brown is also a member of the Alpha Phi Delta fraternity. He also furthered his education and attended Thomas Edison State University to earn his Master’s Degree. Recently, David I. Brown was accepted to Dayton University for his doctorate degree. David I. Brown is a sports enthusiast. He loves football, basketball, baseball and soccer. He once wrote for the Burlington County Times covering variety of sports. Writing is David I. Brown’s passions and he enjoys writing about a plethora of realms such as sports to science fiction. David I. Brown is married to his lovely wife Denika Brown that has two dogs named Cookie and Dude.
