About the Book
This children’s book is a fanciful story intended to put children in touch with their own power. The story allows them to become heroes and heroines and actual guardians of our own beautiful planet Earth. The characters in the story build a better planet as they learn to recognize problems and make viable plans using their own practical skills and imagination. They also learn respect for the precious needs of all living things. Hopefully, the story will spark some basic responsibility in readers to take ownership for the health of our beautiful planet earth.
About the Author
Mary Ockerman grew up in a small mid-Michigan town, where her mother nurtured her fertile imagination. She told stories to her brother and sisters from an early age. She has written children’s stories most of her life. Mary graduated from Excelsior College as a registered nurse and worked as both a medical and psychiatric nurse for thirty-eight years. She has a rich background in human experience and a special interest in empowering young children to explore challenging issues they will eventually encounter in adult life. She believes children hold the keys to our future and must be given every possible tool to sharpen their thinking skills and free their intuition.
