The eternal struggle between self and society is for one of balance and equilibrium. For too long a period of time, society has held sway over the individual self to such an extent that the self is no longer able to think of itself as being sovereign; society has usurped that role.
The purpose of sapience, as a religious influence, is to enable the self to envision a personal storyline of equal measure and importance with that held by society. But, be forewarned, it won’t be easy, for society has had such a vast amount of time to invent and nurture its storyline sufficient to block every avenue of study and inquiry into the self and what it has a right to ask – no, demand – as its measure and due.
That is why it is being stressed that the self be seen as a bulwark against society – for a time – sufficient for the self to heal. Further, upon recuperating, the self must rid its innermost being of the voices of others, for all they can do is confuse and confound the mind which has had little experience dealing with its self as a sovereign entity. Those ‘other’ selves are not sovereign either, but when they group together they become sovereign (or assume sovereignty) at least in their own minds.
It must be remembered that coalescence – grouping together – at its very core represents inadequacy and insecurity; nothing more. Yet, when so configured, they display bravado sufficient to hide that reality. Inscribe this as a frontlet before thine eyes whilst in your inner sanctum.
Up to this point, much has been said about religion and the effect it has had upon the self. You see, everything must be brought back and related to the self. You are important and most of the time society seems to forget that. After all, it is you being integrated into their scheme of things – not yours! Well, it’s time that the self has had a say. Unfortunately, based upon history, silence seems to be the self’s word of the day.
At some point, it can be assumed that everyone asks, “What’s it all about and how and where do I fit in?” The process of answering that question should be called religion but, alas, it is not. False religion, although cloaked and hidden from the mass of humanity, is about crowd control concealed in regalia; tapestries; round trip vouchers to eternity; coupled with designated rituals, rites and traditions that offer pardons for offences committed against doctrine, both sacred and secular.
All that this work has done, or should have done, is to point out the missing dimension in life called the self. Religion, as it is known, is a perfect example and model of what society has done – and is still doing – to the individual.
Effectively what was done was to take a scale, configured as a balance beam, and place everything under-the-son on one platform and called it SOCIETY, and on the other platform simply placed but one individual upon it and called it SELF. Then, adjustments, alterations and manipulations were made to the scale until it indicated that it was in BALANCE. Well, it’s not now, nor will it ever be considered to be in balance. It is a perpetrated hoax because society’s thumb has always been firmly placed on the platform designated for society ever since the coalescence of humanity first took place.
Sapience, a type of secular religion, seeks only to honestly balance the scale and actually and accurately enable it to display a state of equilibrium once achieved. To do this only requires that the individual focus less on society and more upon its self until the individual feels as if it is at peace. Peace is an appreciated state of null once you are in balance and equilibrium has been realized as a preponderance of peaceful attainments.
The process begins with you. You are currently a slave of the system and, if you remember, a slave can range from being totally chained and incarcerated, all the way to being a trustee – somewhat free to roam, but only within the master’s domain.
Therefore, you cannot focus on your self while in servitude to society. That can only be done on your time and in seclusion while in your inner sanctum. Mind you, seek it well and seek it often.
