About the Book

Letters from the Prairies is loaded with many hotly debated issues, such as the carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS). Is CTS all work-related or a simply overused syndrome? Is genetic counseling really working? What new drugs are available for muscular dystrophy and ALS? Is talcum powder really carcinogenic or merely part of junk science? Letters from the Prairies also addresses issues regarding Dr. Kim’s native country of South Korea. Is the Korean War the most forgotten war? Could the 2018 Winter Olympics be compared to China’s ping-pong diplomacy? Finally, this book discusses Dr. Kim’s mentor, Howard A. Rusk, MD, who is often described as the Father of Rehabilitation Medicine and his personal and professional relationship with Dr. Rusk.
