The Messy Room is the first in Carolyn’s planned Already Housebroken Pets picture book series.


About the Author

Carolyn W. Ezell is an award-winning author who writes for children and adults. Carolyn’s stories for and about children have appeared in several publications, most notably, ‘Highlights for Children.’ Her pieces have been reprinted in textbooks in both the USA and Canada, used in comprehension testing materials, and distributed by the Alabama Department of Transportation targeting seat belt safety. She is a retired clinical social worker who enjoyed a career in child, adolescent, and family therapy, as well as teaching master’s level classes in the same at The University of Alabama. Over the years, she has been a parent, grandparent, foster parent, international parent, and mentor. She is a member of the Tuscaloosa Writers and Illustrators Guild, and very much enjoys book club discussions, signings, and speaking/reading engagements. This is her first picture book. Carolyn’s adult writing is found under the pseudonym, Carolyn Breckinridge.
