Marilyn McDonald was born and raised in Savannah, GA. She graduated from Alfred Ely Beach High School in 1987. Marilyn served in the United States Air Force and is a proud Disabled American Veteran. In 1998, she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University, and soon after began her career with the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System.
Throughout her tenure Marilyn served as a classroom teacher at the Elementary and Middle school levels, Magnet Program Coordinator/Science Lab Teacher, Curriculum Specialist, and Assistant Principal of Elementary and K-8 Schools before becoming a Principal in 2012. Marilyn also holds a Master of Arts in Management and Administration of Educational Programs and an A.B.D. in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
Today she enjoys a prosperous career as a Realtor, partnered with Lorenzo, her husband of over 31 years. Marilyn loves creative writing, reading, traveling, family time and helping people find their place called, Home.
