Part Insomnia

About the Book

Part Insomnia is the final book (trilogy: The Hole, A Time Alone, and Part Insomnia) regarding the loss and grief process experienced since the death of my wife, Deborah Glaefke Gilbert, from lung cancer on June 6th, 2017, due to asbestos poisoning. The writing has been therapeutic and necessary for my survival without her. The pain has not lessened but getting used to its daily attendance in my life has been my new routine. If my words and observations can assist anyone else going through similar ordeals, then good.

About the Author

Tom Gilbert is a 68-year-old writer, poet, inventor, composer, theorist, teacher, and worker in the field of intellectual disabilities whose real life’s work is teaching full literacy skill acquisition to individuals in the population (aspergers, autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, ID NOS, ADD, ADHD, TBI, etc.). He has three college degrees that are not worth the powder to blow them up with, as all of the individuals he has encountered in his 49 years of working in the field have taught him everything he has ever needed to know about the work. All lifetime artistic attempts come from the results and reactions of experiencing life in all of its delights and horrors. This book is the third in a trilogy.
