About the Author
Marc Payne grew up in West Los Angeles looking for the light. The artist claims that in his hometown of Hollywood, there are more stars on the ground than there are in the sky. After experiencing feelings of depression when his father passed away, he began to ask - “Why am I feeling lost and how do I get the unwanted feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and confusion to stop?” Even with achievements, accomplishments, and degrees - Payne still felt something was missing. The artist began to fall for the illusion that happiness comes from acquiring fame, money, and massive amounts of success. The young poet began to set his sights on self-development and began soul-searching using music, meditation, repetition, symbols, and mantras. The thirst for wanting to know his ultimate truth, his higher-self, and the peace that passes all human understanding expanded to new levels of consciousness. Pyramids Under The Sun is about a young artist’s trek into Ancient Egypt and the light he found within himself on his journey. Marc Payne claims he told so many of his friends about his experience to Africa that he had to write it down. The author’s intention is that anyone who reads Pyramids Under The Sun will journey to find their true spirituality and make a lasting connection to their roots.
