Yes, It’s your Happy Birthday! But, there is a saying here that seems terrible. “The moment we are born, we start to die.” And, it’s so true. It’s like the beautiful flower in the back yard. The moment it blooms, it begins to die. Nothing you do will keep it alive. Death, in that moment, is in the flower’s future. And, the same is true for all of us. The moment we show up on this planet, we start to die. That’s what it is in the Land of Death & Dying! So, we spend our time, money and energy seeking ways to keep ourselves and our things bright, shiny and new. But, we can’t. Not on this planet. This planet is like an illusion, like a magic trick. Look over there and don’t notice over here. That’s planet Earth. It appears beautiful and green, but, take another look. A deeper look shows that everything is in a cycle of being born, living for a time, and then, dying. The leaves fall off the trees to the ground and begin to rot and decay. A limb, here and there, falls off and meets the same future. It’s a beautiful planet. But, get down closer and you will see spots of decay. They show up just to remind us that we can’t have our way.

About the Book
This is the second book in a trilogy in the form of fictional novels. The main character travels through time on an adventure called life. Volume 2 is told from the perspective of a child growing into an adult, experiencing life on planet earth. The details are not as important as the central theme. As you read this story, keep in mind a basic truth: these are real places for all of us, lifelike situations common to all of us that are meant to be.
It is creative, tantalizing, full of insight, touching, absorbing, emotional, beautiful, sympathetic, deeply human, fearful, tragic, and humorous. You may check out other book series:

About the Author
Penelope de la Haya is a woman of varied background and experience. She was reared on a Texas ranch, graduated early from High School and became an Interior Decorator. She has always been passionate about travel, children and her faith. She has visited almost every state in the United States and traveled Internationally. Certified as a Lifeguard and Aquatics Director, she taught swimming to babies, handicapped children, adults and swim teams. She has sponsored many children in various countries through World Vision with direct gifts and micro loans in their communities. She independently opened The Penne Orphanage in India and was recognized by the Indian Government. She is a Certified Life Coach, the mother of two grown children and three Grandchildren. This book is birthed from a serious illness during which she had a ”death Experience.” From that time, the course of her life was forever changed. In that experience, she was told to return and carry back a message. The Lord spoke to her very directly and said, “Go and tell MY people that this place is real, because they don’t believe. This has become her mission and passion for children.
