About the Book
Macy Cahill is an enthusiastic teenager who felt like life was coming to an end when she lost the closest person to her heart—her best friend, Nathaniel Hale, a.k.a. Nate. Losing him shattered her inside and out. Depression, distance, sorrow, and silence struck, and it brought nothing but pain to her and everyone around her. Through her closest friends, Macy realized that this was just another obstacle weighing her down. It took time, but she finally realized that holding onto something that’s not meant for her wasn’t going to bring anything but pain. While she was drowning, she remembered how to swim and swam her way up to shore, but in the process, she not only saved herself but the life of another as well—Blake Henderson. A hero doesn’t always have to be a male figure. It can be a female figure when she knows her worth in life and is strong enough to enact it.
