About the Book

Earth—a once beautiful paradise destroyed in the wake of WWIII. Man now sets out to try and colonize a newfound planet called Portobello—home to an indigenous race called the Plov. You will follow Dean Matthews, the captain of the Deltoton, along his journey to Portobello. Many hidden secrets and lies will be reveled along the way. Was Earth really destroyed due to the war? Where did the Plov come from? Along this journey, you will meet a few crazy characters that you will never forget. The leader of ISC (International Space Control), Edward Gammon, will make you wonder what his true agenda is in all this behind the scenes. Is he as good of a man as you are led to believe? We will let you decide for yourself.

About the Author

Hello, my name is Matt Wheeler. I have always been passionate about science fiction and the amazing places it takes us. I came up with this story Portobello long ago while I was driving semi for a living. I had plenty of time to think behind the wheel of a truck. My story takes places after a war on Earth causes our atmosphere to collapse. Luckily one man was prepared for such an event. Edward Gammon of I.S.C. (International Space Control) had already started prepping our moon, Mars, and a new planet called Portobello for humans to live on. However Portobello is the home of an indigenous race called the Plov. Humans must learn to over come many obstacles along the way including how to effectively deal with the Plov. I have very much enjoyed writing this book and have a sequel in the works. I am a self taught author born and raised in a small town in Ohio. I currently live in Michigan with my wife and two pets.
