About the Book

Veritas Dolor is a Latin phrase meaning “truth through pain.” Most of the poems within this book deal with the inner struggles of having depression on a daily basis. Many people often go through life hiding their sadness from the rest of the world. In this collection, the author gives the rest of the world an inside glance into the struggles of someone handling depression during the different stages of life.

About the Author

Allison F. Beasley is a Mississippi author. She was born and raised in South Mississippi and has been writing since she was ten. Allison is an English teacher in the Pine Belt and is newly married to her best friend. She has no children except for her fur babies: four cats, three dogs, and a rabbit.
