About the Book

The book is about a girl who loves school but was home from school, sick with the flu. The story unfolds from an adult perspective revisiting a childhood memory about birds and her desire to be at school.

About the Author

Marva Hines Parker is a wife, mother and grandmother. Nurturing and caring for others has always been important to her. She is a third grade teacher in an urban community serving as grade level chair for the last two years. She has inspired children for many years to pursue their passion as she is doing by finally writing her first book. Marva has a B.S. Degree from Norfolk State University in Norfolk, Virginia where she graduated Suma Cum Laude and is now pursuing a postgraduate degree in Early Childhood Education from Liberty University. She served as the principal at a Christian School for five years. She serves in her church and works diligently to serve that ‘God gets the glory’ for all of her attempts. She has served as Vacation Bible School assistant and on numerous other ministries. Marva has been journaling for over twenty years and counting. She also has other works in progress.
