The author, Danielle Calhoun is a 30 years old, born in Middletown Ohio and raised in Cincinnati. After being shuffled through 17 foster homes, at 17 she was headed to Marysville prison to do a 9 year prison sentence. She now lives in Hamilton Ohio.
