About the Book

This book is about an old man that loved his family and his way of life. This is also about the struggles of a young boy and his brothers being raised by their grandparents. The setting is the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Northeast Georgia. It is about siblings’ love for one another and their extended families and the most important call in his life by God while in the military. This is the lives and the times of one man and his family that may seem like a fairytale to some, but it is oh so true.

About the Author

Hello, my name is Danny O’Kelly. This is an autobiography about me and my family. I was born January 9, 1956 in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Georgia. After living 61 years on this planet I decided that someone needed to write a book about our way of life or at least how our way of life used to be. About six months ago I bought a Nuance Dragon naturally speaking device for my computer that allowed me to speak into a microphone and the computer printed what I said. That is how I was able to write this book. Without this device, it would have been impossible for me to do this project. The events in this book are true and all from my own memory as I remembered events. I sincerely hope that you will enjoy reading this book.
