About the Book

I give you this one thought to keep I am with you still. I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glint of snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the morning’s hush I am the swift, uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft stars that shine at night. Do not think of me as gone. I am with you still in each new dawn.

About the Author

Juanita Elaine Poynter McLaren Emmich spent her working life as a Keebler Elf. She ran the machines that made cookies and crackers for the Cincinnati-based company. Elaine also has six children—five sons and one daughter—who were her pride and joy. Hoping to help them along life’s pathway, Elaine complied handwritten books of inspirational words and favorite recipes. She had hoped to have her collection printed to share with her family and friends, but her 2016 death from cancer cut short that plan. Elaine’s sister submitted her collection to AuthorHouse to finish the project that Elaine had hoped to do.
