What would you say is the greatest gift you’ve ever received? I don’t have to guess; I can answer unequivocally. The greatest gift of my life is the magnanimous grace of God. This song says it all: Your grace and mercy brought me through / I’m living this moment because of you / I want to thank you and praise you too / Your grace and mercy brought me through / What else is there? What words of praise? At what cost to man, what treasure of humanity? The only thing that counts is that the grace of God has come down to man. It’s free. Come taste how good God is.

About the Author

Iona (Griggs) Hollins completed her bachelor of arts in education at Chicago Teachers’ College (now Chicago State University) in December 1963 and a master’s of arts in school counseling at Governors State University in Park Forest, Illinois, in 1976. She taught twenty-one years in the Chicago public schools and twenty-one years in the Ferguson-Florissant school district in Missouri. Iona retired from a career of teaching, counseling, and librarianship in June 2007. She spends her time keeping up with her nine grandchildren, volunteering at her church in various women’s ministries, researching and writing about her ancestry, and writing books for and about her grandchildren. This is her second book about Bible classes she has taught and her fifteenth published book.
