About the Author
Waleed Simba has studied and practiced martial for over 40 years. Being the youngest of eleven children, Waleed has lots of babysitting experience looking out for a gang of nieces and nephews. Waleed began to practice martial arts as a teenager and as a result of what would be considered bullying today. After joining the marines and going to Asia, he was able to practice Korean and Japanese martial arts in their native countries. Later Waleed became a police officer and decided to focus on kids. Waleed became a Juvenile detective, where he could work with families of kids. He opened a martial arts school in a troubled spot in the city and soon had kids and families of various backgrounds. Waleed has since opened 3 more schools which operated successfully, two internationally and the fourth in California. Although he taught adults, his focus was on teaching kids the principles and techniques of martial arts, emphasizing anti-bullying and good citizenship.
