Love Is Pain

I remember when I was a little girl my mom telling me that one day I would grow up and find my Prince Charming. She used to read me fairy tales. There was always a damsel in distress and some perfect guy that comes along and saves her because in the end they were meant for each other. We all know the kind of books I am talking about. The ones that as we grow older we realize that never in a million years could any of those things have possibly taken place. But as a young woman you still look for the grand gestures and the possibility that the person you are meant to be with is out there. What happens when you think you found that person only for them to turn into a monster. That is capable of unspeakable things. This actually happens more than most people think. It happened to me and I almost didn’t survive it. My Fairy tale had turned into a nightmare. One that doesn’t seem to end.
