The Beginning Adventures of Popeye & Biscuit- “THE EGGLINGS” This story is about twin girls- Nelly and Melly and their parents. Because they have many allergies and can’t have a “normal” pet like a cat or dog, they are on a quest to find the perfect pet. They desperately want a family pet, so the father-Mel has done extensive research on pets without dander. He comes across the perfect pet- a bearded dragon! The family’s adventure begins with a simple visit to the local pet store and “egglings.” Allergies and disabilities shouldn’t limit your love to adopt a pet or pets regardless of their uniqueness. About the Author
Elizabeth Olancin is a native New Yorker and resides in Florida with her family. She received her first master’s degree from Adelphi University, receiving her second master’s degree from Queens College. She has developed numerous programs within her teaching career. Elizabeth has received grants for those programs from various sources within her district. She has juried local art shows and has received numerous accolades locally and nationwide. In addition, she has been a presenter in the LAEA conference. She lives by the motto “We need to face life’s challenges with a smile on our faces and our heads held up high.”
