About the Book
Mr. Lemon Cranky Meets Mr. Hap P. Sunshine is a fictional illustrated children’s story. It contains two unique, special characters that are thoroughly entertaining and unforgettable. It is a story about a life-changing event in the life of Mr. Lemon Cranky that is timeless and meaningful for all ages. Although the story is lighthearted and easy to follow, it has a deeper message and life lesson, touching on basic human feelings and emotions. All the illustrations are relevant replications of the originals by the author and have only been slightly modified for publication purposes. This book was edited and published by her eldest son, Edward F. Cassidy, and illustrated by her daughter-in-law, Judith Safari-Cassidy.
About the Author
Marie T. Cassidy (1936-2004) was born and raised in New York City, in the Italian Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. She was the eldest of two children to James and Jean Panarella, along with a sister, Grace Ann. Marie was an artistic, spirited individual, with talents ranging from extensive reading, writing, painting, sculpture and creative crafts to fantastic listening and conversational skills. Her company and advice were sought by many - she was loved and respected by all that were lucky enough to know her. Marie was married to her husband, Ed, for nearly fifty years and is survived by six wonderful children: Edward Jr., Barbara, Catherine, Michael, Mary and Theresa, along with grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many beloved friends and neighbors.
