The Flags of our Britain The mud drawn cluster of the past remnants of our green land drawn horses and pigs long gone peace through valleys of old once drifting through fields of patriots and flags flying high now as the centuries roll and changes appear with many flaws hidden agendas of the politicians lining pockets of the valued minds instead sparking an influx of hatred, racism and greed what are we fighting for? the once forgotten family dream? the Great that was once Our Great Britain the dream of pride and past times? Can they be revived? Only embracing change accepting neighbours of the new age can we live in harmony no racism, no anger and no wars reach outside your comfort box and listen to your heart to help share the dream of our new future. Our New Great Britain I went to see a friend in Pateley Bridge and was early arriving. Running across the streets were English flags flying. I first thought it was after the EU vote but it was to celebrate the queens 90th birthday. I sat in the Old Granary Tea rooms and wrote this poem in about 15 mins, just before the most amazing bacon butty and yorkshire tea.

About the Author
Taryna Bradford was born in Kent and raised in Oxfordshire. Taryna became interested in poetry at an early age, focusing on almost anything that inspired her. After the death of her mother, at the age of twenty-three, she decided to go travelling and to explore her interests in new areas of life. During her time abroad, she soon aspired to bring life into the world, settle down, and have children of her own. Yorkshire had always held a place in her heart due to the fact that her mother was born there, so she decided to move back up north and settle down. Throughout these years, Taryna maintained her love of writing, and through her experiences raising children and having a family, she continues to write about her passions and love in various areas of life. Furthermore, her interest in spiritualism allows her to contemplate alternative ideas like life after death and other perceptions of why we are all here. You will see at the bottom of some of her poems the word “sunbeam.” This was a spirit name given to her at a naming in a spiritualist church. In this book, the poems vary from personal experiences and inspiration to documentaries, real life, and hopes and dreams.
