About the Book

Angel Bear and Bear are joined together to keep a friendship ongoing and everlasting. From a small-town gift shop to deployment on the sea, Angel Bear and Bear remain in each other’s thoughts and prayers throughout the entire mission: reuniting Ms. Em and Master Sergeant O’Leary and bringing to them the memories they hold dear to their hearts.

About the Author

Mary Lou Montez is a native of Colorado, where she began her nursing career seventeen years ago. Her home is now in Lakin, Kansas, where she continues her work in the nursing field. Mary Lou enjoys time spent with her children and many grandchildren, who have inspired her in writing children’s books and poetry. Mary Lou’s brief work with veterans, along with her personal experience with separation by deployment involving family members and friends, has brought about the story of Angel Bear and Bear. Angel Bear currently resides in Lakin, Kansas, where she patiently awaits the return of Bear, who at this moment is stationed in Hawaii.
