About the Book

One of my reasons for writing this book is for me to receive healing. My vision is that people all over the world will read it and it would bring hope to someone. My desired outcome through these pages is for hearts to be touched. Maybe others could understand that after all the choices and the pain, Jesus loves them unconditionally. As I began to reach out for help to change my life, I saw life through a different lens. Because of my new view, some of the layers of pain began to fall away, and some of the walls of trust began to come down slowly. The biggest struggle has always been me desiring something more. There was a void that was missing from the inside of me—love. I had never received love the way God had intended it and because of that, I had nothing to measure love by.

About the Author

I am blessed even when I don’t feel like I know that I am. I thank each and every person that has read this short book. I hope that it has encouraged you. I look forward to writing more as God leads. I am still employed with the Seattle Union Gospel Mission, serving those in greatest need. I now have six beautiful grandchildren, and they are truly a blessing. I am blessed to still have both of my parents; I now have six siblings left. I am not the baby girl anymore. I have a beautiful little sister, Kaniea Smiley. I am learning to cherish family more. I have tons of nieces and nephews, so many that I don’t even know them all! However, the one that is dear to my heart is Ms. Kyla Jackson. I love you and thank you for all your support and your unconditional love. To my two dearest friends, Renee Reddick and Rachell Hill, I love you guys. Again to my dear sister Brenda and her husband they have encouraged me through this entire process and my pastor and his beautiful wife.
