I am the Alpha The year is 4352 B.C. In the lush steamy jungles of South America a young 20 year old woman builds a small raft in hopes of riding the current to finding action and adventure. Her name is Sydell. In her home land she is known as an excellent fighter and defender of the land. She’s heard rumor that a tribe of warrior women exists somewhere near the Caribbean Sea. Her goal is to find this land and join the ranks of the tribe. She rides the current for half of the day when the finally faces the first real decision of her adventure. Within in moments she will come to the fork and must decide whether to go right or left. There are several people emerging from the bushes screaming. Sydell has traveled far from her home land and messages from foreign tongues have her pondering, “What are they so frantic about?” She decides to take the fork on the left because the current still looks calm on that side of the fork. As she paddles she is looking forward to her life of adventure. Just then, she begins to pick up speed. The tiny raft can barely take the pounding. The young female begins to deduce that the people from the bushes were telling to go right at the fork as she holds on for dear life. The raft was going so fast down the river that Sydell doesn’t have time to avoid obstacles up stream. High walls on both sides of the river make escape impossible as the powerful current pulls the raft directly in the path of a boulder. The raft is smashed into pieces. One of the logs hits Sydell on the head causing a gaping wound as she desperately clings on to pieces of wood to stay afloat. Cries for help go unanswered as the raging current takes her further down stream.
