About the Book

We each have memories that our mind will choose to keep, repress, or discard. (The rare exceptions are those who seem to remember everything.) Sometimes profound and unusual events are suppressed by artificial means—by neuroleptic medications or by otherwise having our brains tampered with. Some experiences are so strange that they shift established paradigms; such is the phenomenon of alien abduction. Many well-educated folks (and others) have scoffed at and ridiculed believers and experiencers, calling such views absurd and “irrational.” Presently, the powers that be withhold information from us and sometimes threaten experiencers or even incarcerate them in psychiatric hospitals, forcing them to take powerful drugs with horrible side effects that temporarily destroy the integrity and rationality of these patients. Then, it is claimed that the patients’ behavior is all due to illness, and they then mysteriously claim a “perceived injustice.” What can a good appetite for parapsychology, exquisite sensitivity, unusual experiences, and humble suffering produce? Poetry allowed this author to relate his experiences and thoughts about this and many other topics. The poems are freestyle, with primarily open punctuation and intentional ambiguity. Indeed, some very unusual events happened in the author’s childhood and young adult years, especially in August 1986. Some of the poetry seems to have been channeled to him. Explore, cogitate, enjoy.

About the Author

The author tried balancing intellect with feeling and wrote these poems in an abstract freestyle (vers libre). This book is not for those with closed minds and subconscious fears. Maybe a psychologist or geneticist would find particular expressed or implied perceptions, emotions, conclusions, and curiosities interesting. The author is not always a conformist and often has a sense of not belonging in this world. He is one who often wants to do good deeds but finds both himself and society hopeless. Though he has no formal advanced education, he is creative and reasonably intelligent.
