Without Love

The characters in these pages may be real or made up. The Neanderthal, our main character, is trying to understand the feelings or the emotions associated and depicted through the heart and brain of something so simple and complicated at the same time. On the other side of this creative piece is the Mind Shaper, the Neanderthals counterpart. She’s here to keep some slight objectiveness to the Neanderthal allowing for some female perspective as well. Actually, now that we think of it, the thought of a female being a mind shaper is rather clever. Mind Shaper: “Good job Neanderthal!” Neanderthal: “No problem, it’s what I do!” When we started conversing about this piece, it didn’t seem right to us that this book could be written solely by a man or solely by a woman. We understood that it needed a duel perspective, whether it be through arguments or different communications. The Neanderthal, being single and open to all possibilities and endearments of the world; and opposite The Mind Shaper who has continued on following a more traditional experience is what you the reader will get when relating to the writing between the pages. We came to the conclusion that there seems to be someone else asking the questions, and the answers and thoughts are not being shared with the world. Are they scared? Would anyone else care? Does it matter to society? Should they read this or not? This book will answer none of that; in fact it is just an idea of the two of us dissecting something that we feel has been abused and misrepresented for too long and nothing more. It will hold a few facts, some individual accounts and maybe even have you as the reader question your own nuances on the subject within. Keep in mind both of us will be inputting thoughts and sections into the writing, from our lives, situations, and experiences. In fact, we think it is essential that both sexes may learn to try to understand some partial mysteries of what the opposite sex may be encompassing when it comes to a certain word that we will dissect, appreciate and more importantly learn to use in different ways. Guys go ahead and read the girly chapters and sections; you’re still not going to understand women any more. But it is important for you know what your girl is possibly thinking, and maybe what she expects from you. Ladies you may get all squishy and emotional, and that’s ok. That doesn’t mean your guy is any less of a man if he chooses not to read this. But maybe you will gain some slight intuition as to what has propelled men to where they are, and where their understanding resides. No matter the reason for choosing this book, Thank You. As the reader please do not get all puffed about generalized roles, whether through a traditional or non-traditional stance; we will try to blur and straighten the lines when we can. Now, open your mind and prepare yourself to have the Mind Shaper and the Neanderthal try to explain and disembowel one word. This one word in all of its greatness and dysfunctional nature creates such a powerful stance, but can mean so little at the same time. There is no other word that holds as much power or equality as the one we are about to embark upon. Here is the Modern Day Neanderthal, presenting himself as he learns of this word and how to use it.
