About the Book

When our family unanimously agreed that we wanted another dog we began looking for the “Perfect Pet”. We had two sons that were all boys; so we wanted a boy’s dog, one that would romp and play and be their companion. We researched book after book about different dogs. Finally, we agreed on the breed and found a breeder in a nearby town. Mr. King explained that he had a litter of puppies that were three weeks old and that they wouldn’t be ready for another three weeks. When we went to the kennel, Mr. King opened the gate and five little puppies came frolicking out, four went to Mr. King and one came running and stumbling towards us. He lunged towards Cole and Drew knocking them down giving them puppy dog kisses. It was a magical moment and the hunt was over. HE CHOSE US. He was a beautiful, fawn colored “Boxer”. He had four white tipped paws and a white star on his chest. We didn’t even look at the other four little puppies. That was the beginning of all the new adventures of this little puppy and his new family.

About the Author

MeMe and her husband live in a small town in West Virginia along the Ohio River. They have been married for forty-five years and have lived in the same home for 42 of those years. They have two sons, two beautiful daughters-in-law’s and six awesome grandchildren. MeMe retired as a bookkeeper to become a domestic engineer taking care of her husband and two sons. However, when the boys entered school she began working part-time in the family business. Recently the family closed the recreational business which has allowed her and her husband to spend more time with family and friends. After the closing of the business MeMe has been able to pursue a dream that had been on her bucket list for a long time; writing a book about the family dog “Bruno”. She would tell the stories of Bruno and friends would ask to hear them again. Everyone was always urging her to put the stories on paper, so she began writing a journal. Finally, the stories are in a book format. MeMe dedicates this book to her six grandchildren so that they might know; they can accomplish anything they want; no matter what age in their life. She is working on another book about a collie; “Tillie of Morning Star Farm”.
