A Friend for Abilene This book represents a young girl’s (an only child) need for friendship and the understanding of her imagination. Also, the understanding of faith in things that we cannot see and the love we can obtain through belief. But, through Abilene’s faith and belief the extraordinary happens. Abilene finds a true friend. May we all be so extraordinary that we believe in things we cannot see!

About the Author

Amy Stevens is currently a graduate from Edison State College, with honors in the field of Education and Applied Science. She has spent most of her adulthood as a teacher and a mentor for autistic children. She and her husband, Paul, have two children and presently live in Cape Coral, Florida.
