About the Book

Nathaniel, a six-year-old boy, wishes for a newt for his birthday. He enjoys his special day and the gifts, but he still wants a newt more than ever, and then the magic happens.

About the Author

Nancy C. Prosser, a retired teacher, is a mother of four grown children and grandmother of seven. She often gets her material from her grandchildren and their antics. Her poems were published in Tea, A Magazine, Passager, and The Third Kingdom: New Writings from the Animal World. Besides writing, Nancy also enjoys reading, playing the harp, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.
